Learning outcomesStudents having passed the curriculum:
• has gained profound knowledge of the theoretical basis, methods and ethical principles of social work, and implements them in their work process; • critically analyses the problems and developments of social field, notices problems and finds possibilities to prevent and mitigate them; and evaluates the results; • does social work with different target groups, is responsible for the quality of case and needs based client work; and is tolerant towards diversity; • participates in professional discussions in Estonian and at least in one foreign language; • has gained the communication, and counselling skills for social work, and implements them in their work exploiting contemporary ICT tools; • shows initiative and competence in providing services and participating in project work, demonstrating leadership and team work skills, and associating social work with close fields of work; • professionally and voluntarily participates in community activities, reflects the outcomes of their role and participation, and is responsible for action in unexpected work situations as a specialist; • presents innovative ideas that improve the institutional and community actions, encourages research, and takes the leadership position in implementing the ideas and research.
