The graduate:
• understands the major terms, legal acts and the system of social services;
• has knowledge and skills required for a social worker and is able to implement them;
• knows the ethics and values of social work and follows them in work and everyday life;
• knows the trends of social field, notices and finds possibilities to prevent and alleviate professional problems;
• is able to assess the needs of clients in different age groups and with special needs and is able to help them using appropriate social work methods and resources available;
• is able participate in professional discussions in the official language of the country and in one foreign language;
• has necessary communication and counselling skills and is able to implement them in multicultural environment using ICT;
• uses the knowledge in project work, implementing management, team work and economic knowledge and skills;
• is ready to participate in professional and voluntary activities in civil society and is able to evaluate the role and the results of the activities;
• is able to create a support network according to the client’s problem and coordinate the activities.
