General description

An organization, psychological and social aspects of running it. Theoretical approach and management practice. Theoretical and practical aspects of motivation. Work satisfaction. Stress and burn out. Manager's and company's image. Managing of team work. Manager's various roles. Planning, organizing, delegating and informing. Application of motivation theories in management practice. Solving of work conflicts. Directing of problem-solving discussions. Theory and styles of leadership. Components of organizational culture. Culture of an innovative organization.

General aim

Overview of contemporary concepts of management theory. Ability to understand the manager's behaviour in an efficient business organization. Understanding of group processes and of a business organization as a human communication model.

Aim

Students
- are familiar with various management and organization theories;
- are able to analyse and evaluate the impact of personal behaviour on group processes;
- are able to organize and motivate team work;
- understand the development of social responsibility of an organization;
- is able to understand ethical problems of society.

Form description

Day-time studies. Distance learning.

Teaching methods: lecture, discussion, problem-solving techniques, role plays, cooperation, SWOT analysis.
