Aim

The overall objective of the curriculum is to provide students with prerequisites to become responsible personalities with critical analysis and independent decision making abilities in order to work as a financial management specialist, human resources management specialist, or an entrepreneur; and to support the development of lifelong learning competences to be ready to continue their studies at master’s level.

Learning outcomes

Student having passed the curriculum:
• associates a person, organisation, economy and society in the business field and understands the relationship between business and other specialities;
• has profound knowledge, including critical understanding of the basic business terms, theories and principles, and the main research methods following the principles of responsible entrepreneurship;
• is able to identify and analyse the problems in entrepreneurship and management, including financial and human resources management, and suggests comparative solutions for optimal management decisions;
• is able to plan, analyse and manage corporate resources, activities and results, including in unexpected work or training situations;
• possesses required communication and cooperative skills, is able to use ICT tools, is able to communicate in the official language and at least in one foreign language at the level that enables to take part in professional business discussions;
• is able to implement the acquired knowledge and skills creatively in their work, and is ready to take the responsibility for themselves, other individuals and groups in the field of professional development management;
• is an active community member who is tolerant towards the diversity of attitudes and values, follows legislative norms and the principles of business ethics.
