Aim

The general objective of the applied higher education curriculum is the preparation of the student for work in the field of transport and logistics. The task of the modules of general education and basic subjects of the curriculum is to develop the general educational basis and social maturity of the students. The acquisition of professional knowledge and skills takes place via theoretical subjects and practical classes, given in the curriculum, and through carrying out practical trainings in enterprises (working environment).

Learning outcomes

After completing the curriculum in full amount the graduate will have the following competences:
- has a systematic overview of the main concepts, theoretical principles and research methods of transport and logistics;
- is familiar with the current problems of transport and logistics and is able to find relevant solutions;
- can find information independently and use it creatively;
- is able to choose and apply suitable methods for solving problems and tasks in logistics area, set up various alternatives and work simultaneously by using different alternatives;
- shows initiative in starting projects and sense of responsibility in carrying them out;
- knows how to communicate with clients, employees and partners;
- is proficient in the information technologies needed in his/her professional activity;
- can express and discuss logistic problems orally as well as in writing in the native language as well as in at least one foreign language;
- is familiar with the environmental legislation and environmental protection requirements;
- is ready to participate actively in the civil society and is tolerant of various attitudes;
- can consider social and ethical aspects while assessing the consequences of his/her professional activity in the society;
- is able to adapt in the changing surroundings and is open to life-long learning.
