Connections of steel structures. Plane steel structures. Guaranteeing the structural stability. Production and monitoring of steel structures. Basis of fire protection. Steel structures of buildings. General aimThe objective of the course is to provide the students knowledge for the design of simpler steel structures and skills for the use of the respective standard documents.
AimHaving passed the course the student must be able to use standard documents and design mostly spread steel structures.

Additional literature: • EVS-EN 1993-1-1 Eurocode 3: Design of steel structures. Part 1-1: General rules and rules for buildings. • Teraskonstruktsioonide arvutus eurokoodeks 3 järgi (Loorits, K. 2008). • Ehituskonstruktori käsiraamat (Masso, T. 2014). Evaluation methodsThe course ends with a written exam. The course will be considered to passed when the final grade will be "satisfactory" (2).
