The basic of Buildingdesign, Building- and planning regulation, building parameeters and their calculations methods.
Main requirements for buildings. Course project: basic parameters for roomplanning, requirements for differnt rooms.

The main task of the course is introduce to the students basic knowledge about buildingdesign and criterion for the course project.

In the end of course the student have to:
- know different buildingconstructions of different materials
- know how to calculate basic buildingparameters
- know main requirements for rooms
- be able independently choose constructive plan and constructions for the building

The course is mainly carried out in the form of lectures and test, where teoretical knowledge is gained. The course ends with course project.

Calculation of academic performance is graded. The assessment is used to formative and summative evaluation. Estimation methods are the tests and course project with presentation.
