General descriptionWork with texts on specialty and profession, written and oral short reviews, discussions.
Topic-related lexical and grammar exercises. Making up and presenting a Power Point presentation on specialty. Independent work: specialty-related home reading. Reading, translating and oral reporting of the text. General aimThe ESP course is for the students of all curricula.
Prerequisite course is HKE135 - English for Special Purposes I The objective of the course is to improve students' professional vocabulary and language skills of all four levels (listening, speaking, reading and writing) through interactive and communicative activity. AimAfter completing the course student:
1. knows the principles of reviewing, can make summaries, both oral and written; 2. is able to explain different problems related to his/her specialty; 3. can participate in professional discussions in English; 4. can make up and present presentations on the specialty according to the presentation requirements.
