Subject 'Logistics Project'

The aim of this course is to make students familiar with the logistics system and supply chain of one company in practice and to improve their problem-solving, reporting and presentation skills. Students form a small project team (3-4 students) and choose one case company for their study. They are expected to apply theoretical background from the course “Company´s Logistics System Management” into their research and analysis and present their results to other students in a seminar at the end of the course.

• The student understands supply chain and company´s logistics system
• The student knows the primary activities of company´s logistics system and it´s support activities according to Porter´s value chain principle
• The student is able to set up a project team with other students and work as a member of this team
• Problem-solving skills, critical thinking and presentation skills

70 % Final written report, max 20 pages of A4 format
30 % Presentations of the main results to fellow students in Company´s Logistics System Management and their peer evaluation
The final report should be prepared in accordance with the requirements of TKK UAS student´s writing tasks requirements.

Minimum positive grade is 1 = “poor”.
