Subject 'Urban Planning I'Name in Estonian: Planeerimisprojekt I
General descriptionTheoretical part of the course contains lectures and practical part is a term project - a draft project of detailed planning which also includes an analysis of the location of planned site. The project has to consider existing constructions, urban landscaping and road map. The project includes the solutions of urban landscaping and traffic. Architectural solution of the planning is presented on survey sheets and a model.
General aimTo introduce the need and principles of planning projects.
AimStudent after completing the course has obtained an overview through a series of lectures and a term project about the need of making up planning projects and of their importance in designing the environment.
Loengutes ja kursuse tööde juhendamisel tutvustatakse planeerimisega seotud seadusandlust ja planeerimisprojektide vormistamise nõudeid. Kursuse töö koostamise käigus on kolm vaheülevaatust, kus üliõpilased tutvustavad oma projekti kogu kursuse ees, mis on mõeldud lisaks projekti sisulise poole ülevaatusele, samuti ka projekti esitlemise treeninguna. Form descriptionThe main focus is on obtaining the skills of planning process as a part of designing environmental space. Lectures focus on the role of spatial planning in creating of an environment and the importance of architectural thought in that process. All the students participate in the instruction of their projects to train the skills of cooperation and presentation of oneŽs ideas. Lectures give an overview of legal and other regulatory aspects of town planning. In the course of the project there are three interim inspections where apart from the inspection the students present their ideas in front of the rest of the course-mates.
