General description

Overview of the legislation of traffic management. Principles of installation of traffic control devices. Traffic light systems. Traffic calming. Auditing and inspection of traffic safety.

General aim

The objective of this course is to provide knowledge of the requirements and good practices in traffic management on how to achieve calm and safe traffic.

Aim

The student:
- has the general knowledge of the principles of smooth and safe traffic management.
- knows the principals on the planning and designing road networks
- is able to read and prepare traffic management projects
