General descriptionOverview of traffic psychology. The role of traffic psychology in traffic safety. Risk behavour and its threats. Alcohol, its role in traffic and the problems resulted in it. Solution model of alcohol problems in case of Germany. Unexperienced drivers and their problems. Aftertraining.
General aimThe aim of the course is to define traffic psychology, to give an overview about the interrelated factors of man-traffic interaction; to make clear what traffic culture depends on and how can each road user enhance traffic safety.
AimStudent after completing the course is aware of history and bases of traffic psychology; can evaluate significance of human factor in traffic safety; can analyse his own traffic activity and find the activities to lessen threats for other road users. Student has obtained knowledge about practical activities in the field of traffic psychology in Europe and potential planned activities in Estonia.
Form descriptionLectures, seminars, practical sessions, group work, making reports, presentations. Analysis of presentations based on video recordings.
