Subject 'Physics'Name in Estonian: Füüsika
General descriptionLaws of kinematics and dynamics in translational and rotating motion; concepts of work, power/efficiency and energy; laws of thermodynamics; properties of electrical field; electric conductors and condensers; direct current; magnetism; electrolysis and its use in technology; basic laws of optics , and parameters of light; interference, diffraction, dispersion and polarization of light.
General aimThe objective of the course is to provide knowledge in physics as the basic subject systematizing and creating order in natural facts thereat generalizing them and explaining causal connections.
AimStudents after completing the course have obtained the basics in the fields of mechanics, molecular physics and thermodynamics, electicity and optics; they know how to implement this knowledge in the development of special fields of modern technology.
Form descriptionLectures (theoretical part), laboratory works (practical part), independent work: accomplishment the reports of laboratory works and preparation for the examination.
