| Laws of kinematics and dynamics in translational and rotating motion; concepts of work, power/efficiency and energy; laws of thermodynamics; properties of electrical field; electric conductors and condensers; direct current; magnetism; electrolysis and its use in technology; basic laws of optics , and parameters of light; interference, diffraction, dispersion and polarization of light. |

| General aim |
| The objective of the course is to provide knowledge in physics as the basic subject systematizing and creating order in natural facts thereat generalizing them and explaining causal connections. |

| Aim |
| Students after completing the course have obtained the basics in the fields of mechanics, molecular physics and thermodynamics, electicity and optics; they know how to implement this knowledge in the development of special fields of modern technology. |
