Essence and historical survey of the development of geosynhetics, as well as their usage areas. Geofabrics, geonets, clay fabrics, geocomposites, their usage possibilities and areas. Testing geosynthetics.

The objective of the course is to provide the students necessary theoretical knowledge about geosynthetics and their usage in construction.

Having passed the course successfully the student:
- has the necessary knowledge about the essence of geosynthetics and their usage possibilities
in construction;
- can implement this knowledge in everyday work.

Lectures, special video material, study excursion, check of knowledge with tests, report, marked prelim.
