Diploma of Professional Higher Education AimThe general objective of the curriculum is to prepare the student for work in the chosen profession.The aim of the modules of general and core subjects is to develop the student´s social maturity and comprehensive educational background. Obtaining professional knowledge and skills takes place via completing theoretical subjects, practical classes and trainings listed in the curriculum. The aim of the curriculum is to train work organizers for carrying out general construction works.
Completion of the curriculum awards the student with level 6 of the qualifications framework - works independently in complex and unpredictable situations taking responsibility for the work results of both oneself and work groups. - has obtained general knowledge of the basics of mathematics and natural sciences, general technical knowledge in the field of construction, and graphics; - possesses the specific professional knowledge, which is primly connected to building materials, construction mechanics and strength of materials, construction physics, design of buildings and facilities and building technology and management; - understands the main principles of architectural design; - has acquired general knowledge in the design and construction of engineering systems; - has obtained general knowledge of leading processes and organizations, including quality management; - possesses general knowledge of social sciences and humanities in order to assure the involvement of social, economical and ethical aspects and environmental protection in engineering activities; - has acquired foreign languages to the extent, which enables working in the field of the speciality and personal development.
