| Study and analysis of the initial materials of the course project. Determination of the parameters of a heating and ventilation system on the basis of the initial data of the project, among it compiling an energy balance, calculating heating and ventilation power, choosing heaters, dimensioning pipeline, choosing a ventilation unit and dimensioning ventilation system elements. Drawing schemes and compiling the explanatory letter of the project. |

| The objective is to provide theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience for designing the heating and ventilation of a building. |

Having passed the course the student:
- can compile the principal schemes of heating and ventilation systems, read and
analyse them;
- can evaluate through practical calculations the need of heating energy of buildings and
the power and cost of systems. |
