Study and analysis of the initial materials of the course project. Determination of the parameters of a heating and ventilation system on the basis of the initial data of the project, among it compiling an energy balance, calculating heating and ventilation power, choosing heaters, dimensioning pipeline, choosing a ventilation unit and dimensioning ventilation system elements. Drawing schemes and compiling the explanatory letter of the project.

The objective is to provide theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience for designing the heating and ventilation of a building.

Having passed the course the student:
- can compile the principal schemes of heating and ventilation systems, read and
analyse them;
- can evaluate through practical calculations the need of heating energy of buildings and
the power and cost of systems.

Implementation of theoretical knowledge in practical classes while doing energy calculations and drawing up schemes, independent project compiling as homework.
