General aimTo provide knowledge about fibers classification, structure, properties; to know the principles of materials selection in respect to concrete model.
AimOn completion of the course the students should be able to know textile fibers classification, structure and properties; to obtain abilities to identify clothing materials according to their fiber composition.
Form descriptionThe knowledge about composition, classification, nomenclature of textile fibres is provided during the lectures and individual work using visual demonstration aids and investigating real clothing materials. The abilities to recognize and to characterize clothing materials are trained during laboratory work. The level of obtained abilities is evaluated making reports for laboratory works.
