Subject 'Company Internship II'Name in Estonian: Ettevõttepraktika II
General descriptionDuring the company internship, the students must, in most cases, work as an aid to a craftsman, project manager, product manager, site manager, designer, operating manager, (lead) engineer, purchasing or sales manager.
The content of the work completed during the internship must fall into at least one of the following categories: 1) Taking part in robotics-related product development, compiling and manufacturing (including assisting the production manager, (lead) engineer, or development manager and cooperation with other workers in the development branch); 2) Taking part in the designing process of electrical, automatics or robotics projects, including devising schematics, documentation, and specifications independently (sketch and work project and execution schematics), including work regarding technical documentation (schematics, technical standard documents, technologies etc.); 3) Taking part in the company’s practical core business in the field of (industrial) automatics (including providing sketch solutions and offerts, budgeting, assisting the project/site manager); 4) Taking part in the company’s practical core business in the field of electric systems’ operation (including compiling offers, budgeting, and assisting the operation manager in their work); 5) Advising clients or consumers in the field of selling robotics-related products (e.g. the position of product manager or sales engineer). General aimThe objective of the company internship is to gain practical skills at a company that operates in the field of robotics.
AimThe student has acquired first practical experience in their chosen field and has a notion of a company’s work management style and work routine, is able to use the office and specialty software needed, has gained experience in communicating with clients, purchasers, sellers, and partners, has acquired knowledge of practical working methods, has refined and affirmed their knowledge of robotics.
