General description

Tools materials, their classification and specifics of application. ISO standards for materials and cutting parts of tools. Classification of lathe tools and their usage. Construction of lathe tools. Construction of lathe. Male tools. Types of drilling machines. Tools used in milling. Construction of milling machine. Grinding works. Types of grinding machines.

General aim

The aim of the course is to give knowledge of materials, construction and usage of cutting tools and mainly used cutting machines.

Aim

Student has following knowledge:
- how to use different metal cutting tools
- knows different operations
- can fulfill technical documentation
- is able to machine according to neccesary precision
