General description

The subject of the course is to provide knowledge about the main features of transport economics and the formation / design of transport policy

General aim

To understand the goals of the transport market mechanisms and the social transport sector in terms of current and planned transport policy, while developing the knowledge and knowledge of the economics of the transport company.

Aim

Course student:
1. Understands the theoretical bases of transport economics, the role of transport in the economy, the peculiarities of transport markets and their behavior.
2. Has the ability to comprehensively analyze the problem of choosing a mode of transport in a company.
3. Knows the cost categories of transport - makes a cost accounting and creates a cost accounting system for the company; Is able to determine the cost of transport company materials, plan the need for labor, calculate wages.
4. Can plan operating volume, rolling stock need an operation:
5. Is able to plan/calculate and analyze transport costs, calculate the cost of transport service and find the necessary financial information for it.
6. Can use professional models to optimize the transport process and carry out a cost-benefit analysis of a transport-related investment project.
7. Will be able to analyze the transport system individually and holistically, find bottlenecks, and propose alternatives.
8. Understands the problems, objectives, and modalities of European transport systems, and is aware of the policy measures being implemented.
9. Approaches the difference in prices and competitiveness of the freight and public transport market pricing policy.

Form description

Lectures with discussions/discussions and practical tasks, e-learning tasks in the e-course and design and protection of project work.

Evaluation methods

The grade is the result of partial work. Partwork is a test, drafting and defending the project, and an exam. The exact breakdown with the deadlines for the completion and submission of the works is distributed by the faculty with the syllabus at the first contact hour and adds the syllabus to the e-course.
E-learning tasks are a prerequisite for accessing the exam.
