Full wall posts, arches, frames. Plane lattice girder systems. Guaranteeing the spatial stability. Production and monitoring of timber structures. Basis of fire protection. Timber structures of buildings.
General aimThe objective of the course is to provide the students knowledge for the design of simpler timber structures and skills for the use of the respective standard documents.
AimAfter completing the course the student:
1. is able to find and use necessary standards and regulations; 2. can calculate the timber structures with medium complexity in ultimate and serviceability limit states (ULS and SLS); 3. knows the connections of timber structures; 4. knows the methods to assure the durability of timber structures.
