General description

Cost model, budgeting methods, concepts and different stages of the project and associated activities for estimating, bidding types, procurement and documentation, construction cost classification (standard EVS 885:2005), volume calculation and its phases, normative (standard time and labor standards), and the loss of surplus, types of costs (labor, construction materials, building materials, subcontracting evaluation), making offers, structural unit of the scores, the unit marks catalogs (Ratu, Eke Nora, experience, contractors), construction overhead, profit, value, volume and budgeting process of the construction company, real different budgets demonstration.
Basics of immovable property economics, investment and life-cycle costs of a registered immovable, analysis of immovable property investments, calculations of lifespan of immovable property, analysis of the criteria influencing costs.

General aim

The course aims to provide students with the understanding of the documentation and budgeting process.
Other objective is to provide the students basic knowledge about the economic mechanisms of the construction , calculation of the lifespan costs of a building, economical development in the construction environment.

Aim

End of the course the student have:
• Ability to make a budget.
• Know and be able to carry out the work to find and use the standards and catalogs.
• Knows all about budgeting phases.
• Ability to establish pricing inquiries, general contracting, and time-payment plan.
• Ability to calculate volumes.
• Ability to assess the budget´s actual costs.
• Ability to assess the duration of works using appropriate tools (eg, unit grades directories)
• is competent to defend the accuracy of the cost-created.
• can use the mostly spread methods of analyse at the calculation of investment and life-cycle costs of buildings, among them based on the aspect of energy saving and environmental impact
