Subject 'Engineering Mechanics - Statics'

Structural models. Stability. Simple and continuous beams, trusses, frames, and arch's. Statically determined and undetermined constructions.

Basic knowledges to create models of structures and to determine internal forces and deformations.

Student after completing the course:
1. is able to create and analyze models of bar structures;
2. can calculate the internal forces of simplest statically determined bar structures and stability of compressed bars;
3. has an overview of working principles statically undetermined bar structures;
4. has an overview of deformations of structures and can calculate the displacements of simplest bar structures;
5. has a basic knowledge about moving loads.
