General properties of building materials, Timber materials ,Metal materials, Natural stone materials, Building ceramics, Mineral binders, Properties of concrete, Reinforced concrete, Mortars, Unburnt artificial stone products, Plastic materials, Thermal insulation materials, Finishing materials, Glass products, buildingconstructions, different taips of buildings, subsoils and foundations, main requirements for foundations, walls, ceilings, stairs, balconys, roofs, windows, doors, floors.
Preparations works, soilworks, concreteworks, brickworks, fitters works, documentation of engeneering process.

General aim

The objektive of the course is to provide the students various knowledge about the most usable buildingmaterials, buildingconstructions, engineeringprinciples and main requirements for the buildings. Also to provide the students knowledge about engeneeringtechnology (soilworks, concreteworks, brickworks, generalplanning, organizationworks etc.)

-knows the main properties of buildingmaterials and their basic productionprinciples. Also knows constructions of the building and main fieldjobs.

Evaluation methods

To pass the course, the student must pass the inspection tests and prepare research-papers. The subject is considered positively passed, if final grade is atleast "2".
