Subject 'Landscape Architecture'Name in Estonian: Maastikuarhitektuur
General descriptionThe course deals with turning engaged landscapes into a functionally, ecologically and aesthetically favourable living environment; also with the corresponding guidance of landscape usage and integration of artificial landscape forms (including buildings) with nature.
In practical training classes a vertical layout, landscape analysis of the area and the design of a small living region are carried out. General aimThe objective of the course is to give the students an overview of the contemporary meaning of landscape architecture and its fields of activity. Different landscape types and urban landscaping are learned. The course includes practical tasks where a vertical layout and making layouts are learned.
AimAfter passing the course the students should be able to analyse the landscape, to know how to use its peculiarities and have an overview of the speciality of landscape architecture and its relatedness to geodesy.
