Subject 'Pre-diploma Practical Trainig'

Student works in a railway enterprise as a maintenance consultant or as a traffic manager. Goal of the practice is to develop working experience and skills through working in an enterprise as a middle tier specialist or manager and to collect materials for the final thesis. Practise is supervised by the employer and consulted by an academician from TTK UAS

The goal of the pre-diploma practical training is to develop the students' analysis and synthesis ability in the field of logistics and economy, and the ability to set problems, which have to be solved in the process of writing the graduation thesis. After having formulated the problem, students are able to gather data independently, consider different solutions and choose the optimum solution to the problem.

The student who has passed the course:
• is able to describe/explain working procedures and primary economic principles of the railway enterprise;
• is able to describe problems in working procedures of the enterprise;
• is able to give advice for implementing new technology

Goal of the practice is to develop working experience and skills for working in the real working environment, to affirm previously acquired knowledge. Prepare for writing final thesis.
