Subject 'Engineering Practice'Name in Estonian: Inseneripraktika
General descriptionThe work, done during the placement as an engineer, requires practical work and training in the position of an engineer and includes the following spheres:
- product development and work with technical documentation (technical drawings, technologies, normative documents, labour legislation and health protection acts, etc); - organisation and management of works, connected with power supply and maintenance and repair of control engineering devices; - control of the use of various technologies in the field of construction, repair and maintenance and implementation of method tricks of work; - solving technical issues, connected with the work organisation and development of the enterprise (reconstruction and work extension, implementation of new devices and technology, etc); - technological preparation of orders; - carrying out practical tasks, connected with the management and organisation of the infrastructure. Placement as an engineer is for collecting material for course projects and graduation thesis. General aimThe objective of the placement as an engineer is:
- to reinforce things, learned earlier; - to deepen professional knowledge and skills, in order to use them in solving the task that confront an engineer; - making decisions at the level of an engineer in a concrete enterprise or solving concrete technical problems that need the knowledge of an engineer. AimThe student, having passed the course, working in an enterprise as a worker or a deputy (assistant) manager of a structural unit, acquires work-related experience and can work in a railway enterprise.
