General description

Electrical circuit and its elements. Main characteristics of direct and alternative current. Alternative current circuits at a capacity, inductive and active load. Computation of electrical circuits. Kirchhoff’s, Joule-Lenz’s, Faraday’s and Ampère’s laws, a law about electromagnetic force. Electrical circuits in vehicles.

General aim

The course is designed to clarify the main concepts of electric circuits with different kind of load. Also it gives skills for computation of electric circuits. Links prior with electrical circuits used in road transport vehicles.

Aim

1. Identifies physical work processes in direct current and single- and three-phase alternative current electric circuits.
2. Computes electrical schemes.
3. Understands link between electrical engineering subject and road transport vehicles electrical circuits.

Form description

Lectures, homeworks and laboratory works.
