General description

The course discusses the concept of flexible manufacturing module, the structure and the usage in the machine building enterprises. The course involves preparing an easier preliminary task of designing a flexible manufacturing module. Also involves linking the toolbar with billets and the transportation equipment of details. Robotics and managing the flexible manufacturing module is discussed. Using programmable logic controller as a control unit in managing flexible manufacturing module is also taught.

General aim

The aim of the course is to get acquainted with flexible manufacturing modules structure and their usage. Setting parameters for designing flexible manufacturing modules and preparing the step-by-diagram.

Aim

The student who has mastered this course knows how to project flexible manufacturing modules.

Evaluation criterions are the skills of designing a step-by-diagram for the flexible manufacturing modules and setting logic functions. The result should be positive.
