TTK University of Applied Sciences
Subject 'Physics I'Name in Estonian: Füüsika I
General descriptionThe laws of kinematics of rotational and translational motion;
Work, power and energy; Forces in mechanics; Oscillations, waves; soundwaves and acoustics; Hydromechanics General aimThe aim of the course is to 1) explain the main laws of physics applied in the field of mechanics and 2) introduce examples of the applications in modern technology. During practical laboratory work sessions, the laws of physics are studied in the course of carrying out tests and experiments.
AimAfter finishing the course, the student:
- knows the main laws of physics (within the boundaries of the course scope) and can relate the laws to the applications in modern technology - can explain the main laws graphically, through application examples or in some other way - is familiar with and can operate with different physical quantities (conversion of units) - is able to perform computational tasks independently - is capable of conducting laboratory assignments with the aid of a supervisor, calculate necessary physical quantities and finalize lab reports - is capable of outlining and explaining the process of laboratory work and its results Form descriptionLectures, solving tasks, laboratory works, independent work
