General description

Organising records management in the organisation, goals. Electronic document management. Principles of records management and document handling. Public regulative documents and reference materials: laws and government regulations, standards. Document forms, securing them. Creation and formalisation of documents. Types of documents, sample forms: legal documents (directive), business letter, e-mail, application, act, protocol. Managing document circulation within the organisation, obligation to register documents, documents eligible for registration. Examination and forwarding of documents. Signing of documents and finishing the procedure.

General aim

The course aims to provide knowledge of the records management and the regulative documents related to it, creation of source documents for the organisation's document system, document creation, management of document circulation and handling within the organisation.

Aim

After finishing the course, students will know the legal environment of records management, correct procedure for management, principles involved in the creation of documents, requirements for creating different kind of business letters, principles involving the registration, handling and systematisation of documents.
After finishing this course, students will be able to create various business letters and documents.
