General description

During the course, the student defends its thesis topic design / theme design, presents the final theses in its different stages of research and actively participates in criticizing fellow-students´ presentations. The course ends with reporting and presenting the main results of a research at an approximate completion rate of a thesis by 75 per cent.

General aim

The main objectives of the course:
1. Supervise and guide students while defining the problem and setting the goal of the thesis, selecting research methods, carrying out research and summing up the results and drawing conclusions
2. To prepare students for presenting and defending the graduation thesis.

Aim

By the end of the course the student is able to
1. set up and formulate the research problem;
2. set research questions / hypotheses;
3. compose the research plan;
4. select suitable research methods;
5. collect and process necessary information in scope of graduation thesis;
6. make logical and reasoned conclusions;
7. use suitable logistics terminology correctly;
8. select adequate written and web sources for the thesis as well as find additional essential materials;
9. introduce the content and different research stages to the fellow-students, consider other students’ opinions, argue and defend its points of view;
10. present the results of graduation thesis in its different stages.

Form description

Course duration 12 weeks; contact classes in form of seminars, discussions, presentations.

Evaluation methods

Evaluation method - assessment. To obtain a positive result ("passed") at the end of the course, student reports and presents the main results of a research to the lecturers and fellow-students at an approximate completion rate of a thesis by 75 per cent.
