General description

Rules for making drawings.
Geometrical drawing: smooth connections, division of an angle and a circle, French curves.
Projective drawing: central and parallel projection, double and triple view of an object.
Axonometry and its types.
Elementary geometric solids , their projections and development.
Intersection of solids, projections and developments of crossed solids.
Developments of solids of rotation.

General aim

The aim of the course is:
- to give knowledge of making and reading technical drawings;
- to train the ability and skills of making and reading drawings through practical activities.

Aim

After completing the course students:
- can make drawings and are familiar with depicting techniques;
- can draw projections of different solids, their axonometric images, are able to design developments and sections of bodies;
- can apply different depicting techniques in making drawings.

Form description

Lectures, practical sessions, independent work, a classroom test, preliminary examination.
