General description

Teaching about constructional productivity, construction processes, good construction practises and occupational safety requirements. Introduction into the course. Basic notions of constructional works, their classification. Constructional processes and operations. Importance of transport in construction. Contemporary means of transport. Organisation of loading works. Importance of earthworks. Classification and properties of soils. Soil digging methods. Earthworks in winter. Soil digging by blasting. Meaning and classification of piles. Sinking of piles. Woodworking. Technology and quality of masonry works. Accompanying assembly works. Masonry works in winter conditions. Acceptance of works

General aim

The objective is to give basic knowledge about the construction works technology in the field of the technology of transportation works, earthworks, pile works, woodworking and masonry works as well as evaluation of the quality of these works.

Aim

The student who has passed the course:
- knows the classification of construction works from the viewpoint of technology;
- knows the basic notions of transportation works, earthworks, pile works, woodworking and masonry works as well as mostly used technological solutions;
- can evaluate the quality of the above mentioned works.

Form description

Lectures, practical classes. Independent work for drawing up a report or practical task.

Fomating grading. Grade consists of tests, groupworks, handwrited report and corurse project.
