General descriptionA historical overview of the Estonian construction market. Basics of business. Business types. Company registration procedures. Basic concepts of entrepreneurship, market economy, market demand, market supply, market equilibrium. Company's cost curve. Business plan start up cost, operations / project budget subitem, cash flow forecasting and agents. Working capital of the company. Financing and leasing. Depreciation, amortization, and its assessment of the condition, the current assets and the related indicators. Real Estate Economics foundations, private investment and operating costs, real estate investment analysis, real life calculations, the cost of the factors affecting the analysis. Personnel policy, recruitment, selection and orientation.
General aimThe course aims to give students an basic knowledges of the construction and real estate mechanisms, building a life of cost calculation methods and optimization of the sustainable development of the construction environment and managing of an enterprise.
AimAfter completing the course the student:
1. knows the theory of company creation; 2. is able to create a suitable form for the company, from its various business ideas to a working company; 3. is able to evaluate the company's costs and expected cash flows; 4. is able to calculate and analyze the return on investment of the energy efficiency and environmental perspective.
