General description

Graduates will have to find the subject of the thesis independently for themselves. It is advisable to start looking for the suitable subject already on the third course during the engineering practice. In general, the subject of thesis should cover problems, related with the course and give a contribution to the acquisition of in-depth specialization. A thesis topic should be coordinated with the respective company and with the Head of the Chair. A student must find a supervisor from the company's side (problem issuer) and present it to the Head of the Chair for approval and to the Faculty Council for confirmation.

The subject of the thesis may be selected from the following areas:

1) electricity supply designing (such as electrical power network and distribution, external and internal electrical installations);
2) designing of the industrial automation systems;
3) designing of low current systems (such as building automation, telecommunication and security systems);
4) installation of electrical systems and equipment;
5) elaboration of electrotechnical solutions or products or improvement of current applications;
6) electricity generation, electrical supply for consumers. Current and new technologies, perspectives etc;
7) the economic aspects of power generation, power quality assurance, electrical market etc;
8) the operation of electrical installations, operation activities, handling of relevant legislations and standards;
9) electrotechnical applied researches;
10) any other topic related to the program of study.

The compliance of the subject with the submitted requirements will be discussed and approved by the Faculty Council.

General aim
