Subject 'Engineering Practice'Name in Estonian: Inseneripraktika
General descriptionFor engineering practice, the student has to work either in a construction company or in a geodesy company in the position requiring geodetic engineer education. The student is allowed to to proceed with the practice if he/she has a maximum of 15 ECTS credits due. The engineering practice ends with an engineering exam (graded as pass/fail). The student is allowed to the exam only if he/she has defended the engineering practice report and has no debts from the 1.-3. year subjects.
General aimThe objective of the engineering practice is that the students deepen the theoretical knowledge and master practical skills directly in a geodesy (construction) company.
AimHaving passed the engineering practice successfully the student:
- is aware of the structure and financial-economical organisation of the company; - is able to carry out, describe and analyse geodetic works; - is able to use geodetic instruments; - holds professional communication skills and IT technological knowledge necessary for the work.
