Subject 'Engineering Practice'

For engineering practice the student has to work in a company as a middle manager or his/her assistant. The student is allowed to to proceed with the practice if he/she has a maximum of 15 ECTS credits due. The engineering practice ends with an engineering exam (graded as pass/fail). The student is allowed to the exam only if he/she has defended the engineering practice report and has no debts from the 1.-3. year subjects.

The objective is to provide practical knowledge about carrying out construction works through practicing in a concrete building environment, performing the duties of a medium-level manager.

Having passed the engineering practice successfully, the student:
1. knows the structure and financial-economic organisation of the company;
2. can act at the level of a supervisor, site manager (his/her substitute);
3. can organize works on the construction site;
4. commands communication skills and IT-technologies, necessary for work.
