General description

Traffic history. Types of transport. Traffic safety. Planning of street network. Street design. Road surfaces. Planning of engineering services. Car parks. Green belts. Preliminary exam: Street design solution for the detailed plan of a residential area with block of flats and public buildings.

General aim

To acquire basic knowledge in street and road planning

Aim

Students after completing the course have obtained the principles of planning urban space, have an overview of traffic planning, and in the course of planning process they know the objectives of traffic safety while designing a street map. Students are able to design road solutions in planning projects taking into consideration the needs of all road users.
