General description

The course includes a series of lectures, a town tour and a practical work. The topic of the lectures is: a form determined by material and material dependant on the form. Materials are handled from an architectual point of view. Practical task is an architectone made of wire by means of welding, adding other materials like mesh or film (plastic).

General aim

Introduction to the field through observation and analysis of different forms (shapes) and materials. Application of materials in execution of architectones.

Aim

Students after completing the course have obtained the skills how to observe buildings and to perceive materials.
