General description

Main physical-mechanical properties of steel. Steel structures-related standard documents. Computation in bearing and service limit state. Plane steel structures. Joints. Steel building structures and bridges.

General aim

The objective of the course is to provide the students basic knowledge for designing steel structures and skills for the use of respective standard documents.

Aim

Having passed the course the student must be able to use standard documents and design simpler steel structures.
