AimThe student
- knows how the international economy works in principle - knows the main current problems of globalization and the international economy - has an overview: - of the the worldŽs economical order and trends in the development stages, - of the protectionism in the WTO; - of the rich and poor countries conflicts; - of the debt problems in rich countries. - knowsthe world's most important organizations such as UN, EU, Nordic Council of Europe, CIS and others, and economic integration, such as the IMF, the World Bank, WTO, European Community, OECD, NAFTA, APEC, OPEC, ASEAN, etc.. - has an overview of the world's energy problems, petroleum business; politics and economic relationships, the balance of payments principles: trade, välisotseinvesteeringud et al.
