T 1 Historical survey of railway transport development in Estonia and Europe;
T 2 Development plans of Estonian railway transport;
T 3 Classification of the professions in the field of transport;
T 4 Professional standard of a railway engineer;
T 5 Survey about the railway technology curriculum. Specialisation;
T 6 Preparation of railway engineers in TTK/University of Applied Sciences.

The objective of the course is to provide the students with an initial survey of the railway technology curriculum and railway transport in Estonia and Europe.

Having passed the course the student:
- knows railway technology curriculum;
- knows the professional standard of a railway engineer
- knows railway transport development directions in Estonia and Europe
- can apply this knowledge in the studies.

Lecture, practical work with computer programmes and independent work in e-learning.
