General description

Logistics definition, history, development and role in the economics and in companie's effectiveness. The role of logistics in the market. The main principles of logistics, exercises ja logistics' indicators. Logistical strategy. Strategical planning and controlling.The material- and infoflows, customer services, logistics cost and price development. Transportation role in economics and logistics, fright describing indicators; transportpolitics; transport corridors; transport infrastucture; transport processes; the fright tehnology; how to plan and controll the frights; international fright.

General aim

To present an overview and introduction to basics of logistics. To provide insignts of logistic's way of thinking and develope logistics strategy, understanding the usage of key words, concerning logistics areas also to give basic knowledge about the transport's role in logistics, transport's network and transportpolitics.

Aim

Student:
- knows the main logistics theoretical views
- has knowledge of the supply chain concept and basic principles of supply chain management.
- knows the micro, meso and makrologistika meaning
- takes into account the role of transport in logistics
- knows how to choose the correct transport type to solve the exersise
- has the skills and knowledge to face and solve the main simple logistical challenges

Form description

2 current tests on 6 and 12 learning week, it gives 100 % of the prelim. Exercizes, and logistics companyŽs visitings, teamworks - are presumptions to the prelim.
