General description

Teaching about the construction productivity, construction processes, good construction practises and occupational safety requirements. Finishing works - final stage of general construction works. Preparation of surfaces for tiling works. Requirements, set for these works. Lining the surfaces with gyproc plates. Requirements, set for these works, quality control. Rendering works technology. Preparation of surfaces, organisation of the work place. Works in winter conditions. Materials to be used, acceptance of work, quality control. Preparation of surfaces for painting and paperhanging. Painting of surfaces and paperhanging. Acceptance of works and quality requirements. Preparation of the base for floors. Slab, board and parquet floors. Rolled material floors. Concrete floors. Acceptance of works and quality requirements.

General aim

The objective of the course is to provide basic knowledge about constructional works technology in the field of tiling, plastering, levelling, painting and flooring works as well as evaluation of the quality of these works.

Aim

The student who has passed the course:
- knows the basic notions and mostly used technological solutions of tiling, plastering,
levelling, painting and floor laying works;
- can evaluate the quality of the abovementioned works.

Form description

Lectures, practical classes. Independent work for drawing up a report or practical task.
