General descriptionDuring the course the students master knowledge in the following fields: calculation of loads; properties of concrete and reinforced steel; general basics of the design of reinforced concrete structures; construction requirements of buildings and constructions.
General aimHaving passed the course of reinforced concrete structures the students master the skills of calculations and design. They are able to use contemporary technological solutions and analyse the bearing capacity of structures.
AimWhen the course ends the student must:
- have a systematic overview of main notions, calculation models and their application possibilities; - be able to implement the mastered knowledge and skills in work; - know how to use material economic solutions, taking into account ethical aspects; - feel responsibility for the work results; - show initiative at starting projects and have management and teamwork skills; - be able to train him/herself continuously further in the field of work.
