General description

Water treatment technological processes and technological schemes, sedimentation tanks, micro filters, water disinfection, water softening, water desalination.
Choice of a waste water treatment process, mechanical treatment, biological treatment, secondary settlement tanks, secondary treatment and disinfection of waste water, small sewage treatment plants, sludge treatment.
Over fall and partially separate sewerage systems. Sewerage pipes and structures in the plumbing. Composition and characteristics of waste water. Waste receiving water. General principles of waste water treatment. Mechanical treatment equipment.

General aim

The objective of the course is to provide an overview of the principal methods of water treatment and equipment, used in water treatment and also to acquire knowledge about sewerage systems, effluent runoff and the design of external sewerage systems.

Aim

Student:
- knows the principle methods of raw and waste water treatment and technological equipment
as well as facilities and
- knows different sewage systems;
- has basic knowledge about the design of external systems.
