General description- Freight planning features, analysis and assessment of the availability of transportation planning;
- The role of freight transport in the supply chain. Comparison of different modes of transport. Trends in road freight transport in the European Union and Estonia - Road transport organization of the legislative bases, carriers combine professional associations; - Autoveoseadus, CMR Convention, Võlaõigusseadust. Committing the road transport under customs control, the TIR system - Classification of road transport, cargo-specific transport (transport of perishable goods, hazardous substances, over-sized cargo transport), governing international conventions and national legislative acts, design of freight-lines, freight-lines assumptions and bases for operation of the networks; - Technical requirements for means of transport, means of transport parameters; - Regulatory of driver's working and rest periods, legislative acts (other staff concerning documentation); - Planning of routes, drivers hours planning, preparation of schedules, * GPS devices, monitoring system, a selective presentation of the freight software. General aimThe course aims to inspection basics of freight haulage and its observation within the process of
road transport, selection of different goods haulage technologies, learning and understanding the normative content of road transport regulatory. Aim- Is familiar with various freight transport technologies;
- Is able to link transportation planning to other areas of activity; - It is capable of plan goods haulage by road independently, by choosing the optimum means of transport and best route, if necessary rely on the basis of the various legislative acts of the road transport; - Set up and maintain a database of vehicles; - Registers the driver reports (driving reports, cost reports, reports of vehicle technical errors and omissions); - Keeps a record of drivers' working hours according to the time worked and work done, is able to verify compliance with working hour restrictions according to recorded data; - Takes into account drivers' wages; - Can search for additional important information for effective management of goods; - Can analyze the reasons and the process of freight as a whole /and as a part of the economic system. Form descriptionSubject will take place in lectures seminars/ practice form. 2 tests during the semester gives up to
